Humble Beginnings
Reiko Nagase began as just a character to slap onto the beginning of the new Ridge Racer arcade game, Rave Racer. No one can clearly verify if Reiko is the flag girl from the first Ridge Racer, but I don't think she was. She was however, that girl from the arcade Rave Racer.
Yes, this was Reiko's first appearance. I like the outfit, but the pose is kinda funky. Trust me, she looked A LOT better in the arcades.
Next of course, she became the mascot for the home version of Rave Racer known as Rage Racer. Rage Racer actually had many improvements over Rave Racer, but that was to be expected. This was when people first strated learning the name Reiko Nagase. From this point on, she dropped the rebellious Rave Racer look and went to a nicer, cuter look.
Other than how tall her hair is, I really like this hyper cute form of Reiko. Hmm… SD Reiko? Now THAT would be cute! The very definition of kawaii!
R4! Reiko's Greatest Appearance!
At the age of 19, Reiko finally got the attention she deserved in Ridge Racer R4. This is her best look and I really like it. But then again, doesn't everybody? This is when EVERYONE knew who she was! Reiko Nagase! And in my opinion she is better than that mutant freak slut Lara Croft.
Now THAT is what I call Reiko!
The Future: Beyond R4
Reiko's last video game apperance was in a tech demo for the PS2. She looked great! Check the downloads section for the video of the Reiko Demo.
I really hope they don't waste such a good 3-D model. I've heard Daily Radar joke about Reiko Raider. If they could give it some good gameplay, and I know Namco would, then HELL YEAH!!! Unfortunately, I don't think there's one in planning.
After her breif PS2 apperance, she has now become a work of art. LITERALLY! The people at Namco keep making CG art of her. And I love it!
